StarterLegal provides self-help legal document templates, guides and software. StarterLegal is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and no attorney–client relationship is created by using the service. Documents are prepared from your answers; you are responsible for reviewing them and deciding whether they fit your situation.
Purchases and refunds
Per-document purchases are one-time payments that unlock that document for download and regeneration. The Unlimited plan is billed monthly and can be canceled at any time from your account; access continues until the end of the paid period. If a document doesn't work for you, email info@starterlegal.com within 7 days of purchase for a refund.
Electronic signatures
Our e-signature feature records signers' consent, identity details supplied by the sender, timestamps, network addresses and a fingerprint of the signed text. You are responsible for confirming that e-signature is appropriate for your document and jurisdiction.
Your content
You own your answers and documents. We use them only to provide the service. See the Privacy policy for details on encryption and retention.
